Shopping for a RAV4 Hybrid means sorting out seven trims across four model years, and Toyota changed a lot along the way. The biggest dividing line is 2023, when every trim got new screens and digital gauges. This guide covers the hybrid lineup from 2022 to 2025, built from Toyota's brochures and from checking real cars.

The trims, one by one
LE
The starting point. Fabric seats, 17-inch wheels, and the 8-inch screen. You can't add heated seats or a moonroof, so pick the XLE if you want either.
⌄
XLE
The most popular step up. Still fabric seats, but you can add heated seats with the Weather Package and a moonroof and power liftgate with the Convenience Package.
⌄
Woodland
The outdoorsy one, from 2023 on. TRD-tuned suspension, Falken Wildpeak all-terrain tires, and bronze 18-inch wheels. Heated seats only from 2024.
⌄
XLE Premium
SofTex (synthetic leather) seats, 18-inch wheels, and the moonroof and power liftgate already included. A comfy middle ground.
⌄
SE
The sporty hybrid. Sport-tuned suspension, bolstered sport seats, and black 18-inch wheels, with fabric seats and blue stitching.
⌄
XSE
The sporty one with the nicer stuff: SofTex seats, the 10.5-inch screen from 2023, and heated seats standard. The only non-Limited trim that can get the panoramic glass roof.
⌄
Limited
The fully loaded comfort trim. JBL audio and the 12.3-inch gauge screen are standard, and the Weather Package adds cooled front seats and heated back seats.

What changed each year
- 2022: The last year of the old dashboard. Real pointer dials on the LE, XLE, XLE Premium, and SE, and the older Entune screen with buttons around it.
- 2023: The big update. New 8-inch and 10.5-inch screens, digital gauges on every trim, and the new Woodland trim. JBL became a simple option on the XSE, and the digital mirror moved out of the XSE's Technology Package.
- 2024: Nearly identical to 2023. New LED headlights, and the Woodland could finally get heated seats.
- 2025: A carryover year with a higher price. The XSE's base price went up $1,125.
Buddy's take: which trim?
For comfort without the top-trim price, look at the XLE Premium. It has the nicer seats, moonroof, and power liftgate already included.
If you want it to feel sporty and a bit upscale, the XSE is the sweet spot. Get the Technology Package on a 2023 or newer, or you'll have the small gauge screen.
For camping and dirt roads, the Woodland's all-terrain tires and TRD suspension are hard to beat. Get a 2024 or newer if you want heated seats.
Still to come
The gas RAV4 trims (Adventure and TRD Off-Road), the plug-in Prime, prices for every trim, and the 2019 to 2021 model years are next. Rows marked "Not confirmed yet" will be filled in as we check them against Toyota's brochures and real window stickers.
- Toyota's RAV4 eBrochures, feature charts and packages pages: 2022, 2023, 2024.
- Toyota's audio and multimedia applicability sheets for 2022 and 2025.
- Window stickers, certified used car listings, and dealer photos of real XSEs, which show the 12.3-inch gauge screen comes with the Technology Package.
